
Connecting with people and helping them achieve confident, healthy smiles is the reason Dr. Stephen Kasper chose to pursue a career in the field of orthodontics. He values the relationships he builds with patients and takes pride in using his skills and talents to improve lives. He believes that the confidence gained from a healthy, beautiful smile can be life-changing, and he is grateful every day to play a role in that journey.

Dr. Kasper earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency and earn a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), at which he currently serves as a lecturer in orthodontic appliances.
Known for his thoughtful approach and creative problem-solving, Dr. Kasper thrives on tackling difficult cases. He enjoys thinking outside the box to design personalized treatment plans that deliver the best possible outcomes. This requires a commitment to pursuing excellence in what is a constantly evolving field.
Dr. Kasper actively pursues continuing education and remains closely involved in academic orthodontics. He participates in Invisalign® study clubs, attends annual continuing education courses, and teaches the appliance course at UCSF. This ongoing involvement ensures he stays at the forefront of orthodontic advancements and biomechanics, allowing him to provide the most efficient and effective care possible.
Originally from San Luis Obispo, California, Dr. Kasper has lived in San Francisco for nine years. Outside the office, he enjoys working with his hands through a variety of creative and technical projects. He designs and builds custom surfboards, works on cars ranging from routine maintenance to major rebuilds, and enjoys learning new languages, currently speaking fluent Italian and conversational Spanish. He also practices Jiu-Jitsu, which challenges him both physically and mentally.
Additionally, Dr. Kasper volunteers his time teaching a weekly Bible study class for high school students and participates in community outreach events whenever possible. He values these opportunities to connect with others and considers them some of the most rewarding and memorable experiences of his life.
